Best Diaper Bags for Twins

There are only a handful of diaper bags made for multiples (or two or more young babies). You can certainly use any regular diaper bag, but you’ll want to make sure it has enough room for diapers and extra clothes for two, double the burp cloths and snacks, and plenty of insulated pockets for bottles or sippy cups. That’s why we’ve put together this short list of what we consider to be the best diaper bags for twins. We’re always keeping our eyes open for new, awesome bags to hit the scene, so stay tuned for more.

Allcamp Diaper Bag ~ $48

Allcamp Outdoor Gear makes this diaper bag that can be used as a backpack or a cross-body messenger bag, and it’s super spacious and stylish.

The bag is waterproof (and machine-washable! Woohoo!), and it comes with a changing pad and stroller straps to hang it on your stroller. It also has tons of storage — a must-have when you have multiples: 4 gusseted pockets, 3 zippered pockets, 2 exterior pockets, 3 insulated bottle pockets, a pocket just for parents, an easy access pocket to stash a cell phone, keys, etc. and tons of space for extra clothes, diapers, wipes, meds, pacifiers, etc. inside the bag.

Skip Hop Forma ~ $74

We’ve also used a regular ‘ol Backpack Diaper Bag because when you have twins (and all the stuff that goes along with them!) it’s pretty awesome to have your hands free. These are also a good option for your other childcare providers (grandparents, nannies, etc.) and/or parents who walk everywhere; shoulder bags are just going to leave you hurting!

I really like the look, feel and spaciousness of the Skip Hop Forma diaper bag backpack.

The straps are super soft and cushiony, and it also has lots of storage, including one insulated pouch for snacks, drinks, etc., and a mesh zippered pouch for clothing (soiled or other!), etc.

Skip Hop Mainframe ~ $74

Alternatively, you may like Skip Hop’s Mainframe backpack diaper bag. It’s a little sleeker looking than the Forma, and has a structured frame that stays wide open so you can easily dig through it and find what you need quickly. It has enough storage and pockets for two babies, a changing pad and built-in stroller straps so you can hang it from your stroller.

One thing to note, however, is that a common user complaint is that the straps are not padded and thus, dig into the wearer’s shoulders. Ouch. Not a dealbreaker, but a “nice to know before you buy” kind of thing.

HSD Diaper Bag Backpack ~ $89

This HSD Diaper Bag Backpack is super awesome for dudes (and ladies too, let’s get real!). It has TONS of space, a baby wipe pocket, insulated bottle pockets, a changing mat, adjustable stroller straps…and it looks SUPER cool and rugged. What’s better than that?

Ju-Ju-Be Be Prepared ~ $74

Moving on from backpacks, Ju-Ju-Be makes a twins (larger) version of the beloved “B.F.F.” bag. Their Be Prepared bag has 17 pockets, including insulated bottle pockets so you can (try to) stay organized. It even has “crumb drains,” which – now that I know exist – I want in everything. It’s a pricier option at (gotta pay for that crumb drain technology somehow, folks), but those who have it love it. You’ll get years of use out of it, and it also works as an overnighter.

A Different Option…

Kibou Bag ~ $98

Kibou – “the deliberately minimal diaper bag”

Newer to the scene is this adorable little fanny pack “diaper bag” called the Kibou. Now — especially for twins — this won’t be your ONLY diaper bag, but it’s the perfect carrier for quick little jaunts, such as when you’re out for a walk, running errands or headed to the park.

The Kibou has a built-in changing pad (which you can remove once your duo is out of diapers), a built-in waterproof pocket that can hold 20+ wipes for up to two weeks, slots for your ID, credit cards and cash, and a hook to attach your key or a pacifier.

You can also choose from a plethora of accessories, such as the bou-boo kit, sunscreen, pacifiers, and more, sold separately.

Reviewers say there’s also room for your phone, some diapers, snacks, sanitizer and a small wallet. You can also throw it into your larger diaper bag when you’re headed out for longer periods of time — like on a trip or for an afternoon at the pool, etc. Plus, it’s just really cute!

Remember, the best diaper bags for twins are truly spacious enough to pack stuff for two (or more!) kiddos.
