Introducing the New Site!

Hey there folks –
This is Meg Collins, your flight attendant speaking. Hoh-my-gad — I cannot believe Lucie’s List is about to turn TEN years old (gulp)!
With this milestone birthday, we wanted a fresh look and a new “home.” After all, we have so much more to offer now than just baby gear and snarky humor.
Our Evolution
We’ve come a long way from the days of working out of my little apartment in San Francisco; I now have a staff of seven amazing moms (and two incredible dads — Rich and Anand — on the tech side) who do everything from social media to technical research to editing and everything in between.
While following our guiding principles (making life easier for parents, keeping it honest and real, and not selling out to the man), we’ve been able to expand our content and audience.
Here’s what’s new:
- Twins/Multiples Content – with our dedicated Twin’s Editor at the helm (Marissa Bader), we now have an email list just for multiples, gear guides, product reviews and twin parent topics just for you!
- Grandparent Content – We now have 3 complete guides for helping first time grandparents gear up for a new baby, prep for toddler visits, and babyproof their homes to make things safe and fun for visits.
- 2nd Time Mom/Parent Content – We now have a 4-part series for 2nd time parents, including Mentally Preparing for Baby #2, Gearing Up, Labor and Delivery, and Managing Two Kids.
- Behavioral Content– Oh, the tantrums! Our medical research expert, Brit Cowgill, has augmented our “What’s Normal Behavior for a 1, 2, and 3 year old” series, including Discipline Basics and Tactical Tips for Managing Unwanted Behavior.
- Fresh Product Reviews – Our hip new Managing Editor in Brooklyn, Charlène Barkulis, is always on the lookout for cool new gear and trends. She’s currently writing a Pregnancy Skincare Guide, reviewing the Bugaboo Ant and the Mockingbird Stroller (coming soon), and she generally keeps us (cough: me) young.
- Preschooler Content – Backpacks, lunch boxes, booster seats – and more to come this Winter!
- Socio-Emotional Content – We’re very focused on bringing you the latest on topics that affect our kids, including anxiety in kids, screen time and technology, internet safety, bullying and more. Stay tuned for more of this in the very near future!
- Social Media — Heather Reed, our social media manager, brings us topics that matter on Facebook and now on Instagram. Join us on Instagram!
- Maternity Fashion – Heather Kersten, with 14 years of experience in fashion, keeps pregnant mamas on-trend and looking their best. Check out our updates for Fall/Winter 2019.
- Love List 2.0 — Sometimes, in life, you find something you absolutely love and want to share it with the world. This is that.
I’m not sure which of these I’m most excited about. All of it!!
We’ve stayed alive, despite tremendous competition from offshore mass-publishing sites and other competitors with deep pockets, by word of mouth from readers like you. If you’re able, please refer a friend to Lucie’s List.
Thank you, dear parents, for your emails, social posts/comments, and support you’ve given us over the years. We all consider ourselves extremely lucky to serve you.
What do you want us to write about? Please leave a comment below!
Sincerely,

Eee!! Congratulations!
I love your site. I am a grandparent of 9 month old twins (boy/girl) and we have the awesome pleasure of babysitting them during the week (best job we have ever had). I enjoyed your article on baby proofing but I would like to have some suggestions on designing a playroom. Thank you.
Thanks Charleen – and congrats on your twin grands! That’s a great topic idea. In the meantime, please check out: https://www.lucieslist.com/2019/06/03/toy-storage-ideas/
How exciting! I’d love for ideas of what to do with toddler art – my 2 yr old is in daycare and comes home with the cutest handprint art, etc., but how do I compile it all?!
This is a VERY good idea — a problem every parent has. We’ll add it to the list!
Happy Birthday!! I love your site and all that you do. So thankful for your ten years of providing much needed snarky parenting humor and vital 411! Congrats on a decade of awesome content. <3
Thank you Cristin!!! X
Love the new site!! Thanks for being my #1 go-to resource for baby stuff. My first baby is now almost four, and this site was indispensible when we were floundering new parents 😂
Thank you for reading, Sarah!!
Hello Meg and team! I’m a birth and postpartum doula, and I recommend your site to all my clients – I love what you do and the no-nonsense vibe. I found you 7 years ago when I was pregnant with my first, and I’m so pleased and proud to see you expand. Congratulations!
Oh thank you so much Emma — that means a lot coming from a doula!
The site looks beautiful! You have rescued me so many times, I’m so grateful for Lucie’s List!
Thank you Leah!!!
Your site saved me as a new, and then repeat, mom. It’s the only place I send anyone looking for product or registry guidance. I love what you’re doing and appreciate the new content for my, now, preschoolers. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank YOU Melissa!!
So happy for you (and the team)! When my oldest was born in 2017 and I started receiving the weekly age-appropriate emails, I swore you lived in my brain because they were ON POINT each week. I think week 7 was all about getting some mom friends—yes, girl! Now I’m working as a postpartum doula and referring everyone to Lucie’s List!
Thank you Zuri!! We appreciate that so much!!
I discovered Lucie’s List during my NINTH pregnancy (yup not a typo). I am VERY grateful for how she helped me to quickly navigate choices and make informed purchases for replacing worn-out items and identifying new how-did-I-manage-without-this-the-last-eight-times items. I love referring younger first-time and even repeat moms to Lucie’s List. THANKS VERY MUCH, God Bless and keep up the good (and entertaining) work.
Love the new redesign. I’ve been following since I had my first kid 4.5 years ago and tell everyone who’s expecting to sign up for the emails.
You are a real badass!! I am so proud of you and your success!! Keep doing what you’re doing. Cheers !
Love, Mom
Thanks mom 😉 Love ya.
M
Congratulations, and the new site looks great! I ALWAYS consult your lists before I buy basically anything for my kids now (ages 4 and almost 2)! Thank you for the amazing advice! I don’t know what I would have done when each was born without your incredibly useful and thorough newborn list especially.
Thank you Joanna — that means a lot!! Check out our preschool page here: https://www.lucieslist.com/ages-stages/preschool/
