Best Gender-Neutral Diaper Bags

If you or your partner enjoys a more masculine aesthetic, you’re in luck: you’re not doomed to carry around a pink floral diaper bag of yesteryear. Many brands now make modern, unisex diaper bags that are not only well-equipped for men or women to fulfill diapering duties, but also stylish and fun to carry.

Let’s be honest, do both parents really need their own dedicated diaper bag stamped to denote their gender? Can’t we share? Yes. Yes we can, people. Also, who has time to transfer all the necessities from one bag to another? Not me.

Here they are — the best unisex diaper bags in 2023 for dads and for parents and partners of all flavors.

Eddie Bauer Sport Back Pack Diaper Bag ~$49

The Eddie Bauer diaper backpack is functional and spacious. It’s packed with features, including 11 practical pockets (2 interior pockets that insulated to keep bottles and food fresh), an easy pop-open removable wipe case, and a changing pad. Dad can choose between 3 carrying options: hold with the top handle, use as a backpack with the padded shoulder straps, or attach to the stroller with the stroller loops. Plus, it’s only $49 — not too shabby for a sturdy, hybrid bag.

Skip Hop Flex Diaper Bag Backpack ~$75

Yep, Skip Hop also makes diaper bags for our papas, and they’re pretty cool! This backpack is perfect for minimalist dads or for smaller outings. It boasts a cool sporty-meets-tech look, and it’s compact and lightweight. It features multiple organizational pockets, two insulated side bottle pockets, and water-resistant material, which is also so easy to wipe clean.

TBG: Tactical Baby Gear ~$varies

Founded to provide dads a no-frills option that can match their lifestyle and personality. These military-style diaper bags are durable and efficient – complete with fasteners, MOLLE webbing and carabiners.

Their most popular bag is the Daypack 3.0 ($169 for the set) which is a backpack style bag. Also available in a mini for $79.

Daypack 3.0

The Deuce 2.0 line ($99) is their full configurable and customizable modular system. It’s worn as a messenger bag and is perfect for hanging on the stroller.

Deuce 2.0

Paperclip Diaper Bags, starting at $199

The Paperclips are our new favorite daddy bags (we first reviewed them at the 2016 baby show). The concept is that they are a self-contained changing station because soooooo few men’s restrooms have changing tables (isn’t that infuriating?).

The changing station rolls out in seconds (voila!) for a quick change anywhere you happen to be. That part is detachable and machine washable, with privacy sidewalls to keep baby from rolling out during a change. It has a large mesh pocket and an integrated wet bag.

These bags are gorgeous, y’all. Moms love them too… AND they’re perfect for laptops and other things when the diaper years are over.
