The UPPAbaby Vista, one of the top strollers of all time, got a much-needed facelift in early 2020, and is now called the UPPAbaby Vista “V2”.
Like the City Select, this stroller can convert from a single to a double, using the Rumble Seat, and even carry an older 3rd child with the addition of the Piggyback Ride-Along Board. Loved by parents of singletons, twins, and two or three kids of differing ages, the UPPAbaby Vista V2 is a solid, luxury pick (as you would hope for the price — HA!).
UPPAbaby VISTA V2 Stroller Review: What’s New on the V2
Before we get into the general review, let’s discuss what’s NEW on the 2020 UPPAbaby Vista V2.
First off, the new Vista V2 offers a beautiful new set of colors — Finn Deep Sea, Hazel Olive Green, Sierra Dune Knit and Alice Dusty Pink — all of these colors are named after the employees’ children. Seriously, these new colors are really gorj.
Other changes to the V2 include upgraded wheels for better maneuverability, an indicator on the front wheels to signal whether the wheels are locked or unlocked, a roomier Toddler Seat to accommodate taller kids, a redesigned canopy for added ventilation and sun protection, and a no-rethread harness for easier adjustments.
The price also jumped up by $30, to $929, however some of the colors cost $969 because of their more premium and textured fabrics (Jake Black, Bryce White Marl, Gregory Blue Melange, Emmett Green Melange and Sierra Dune Knit).
Car Seat Compatibility
Like the previous model, The UPPAbaby Vista V2 can accommodate two infant car seats, two bassinets, two toddler seats, or any combination of these. That’s what makes it so great for kiddos of different ages, as well as for twins!
- Chicco KeyFit, KeyFit30, Fit2
- Clek Liing
- Cybex Aton and Cloud Q series
- Maxi-Cosi Mico Max 30, Mico AP, Mico NXT, Mico, Citi, Cabrio and CabrioFix
- Nuna PIPA, PIPA Lite and PIPA Lite LX
- Peg-Perego Primo Viaggio 4-35 and 4-35 Nido
Note that car seats, stroller components, Rumble Seats and accessories from 2015-2020 are all still compatible with the 2020 UPPAbaby Vista V2. This makes people who already own some of these accessories very happy.
If you’re not familiar with the Vista, one of its bragging rights is the beautiful bassinet that comes along with it (yes, whether you want it or not). It’s an industry favorite, and you can use it anywhere and everywhere, including for overnight sleeping!
This is one of the main differences between it and its copycat, the Mockingbird; for the Mockingbird, you must buy the bassinet separately.

The bassinet has a removable, breathable mattress pad with a vented base and mattress for breathability. It’s super well-ventilated (the back of the canopy unzips for additional airflow) and even has its own UPF 50+ sun canopy! Yes, this bassinet it’s the cat’s meow.
As mentioned, you can use this bassinet for naps or overnight sleeping — to get it off the floor, you can snap the bassinet into the bassinet stand, sold separately (below). Please note that the bassinet is suitable from birth up to 20 lbs.
One of the best things about the Vista is the seating versatility; whether you use it as a single with one seat, a double with one seat and the Rumble Seat accessory, a seat and bassinet, or more, the Vista offers a wide variety of seating configurations to meet your family’s needs.
The main seat (the toddler seat) is suitable for babies from 3 months to 50 lbs — is reversible, meaning that your baby can face inwards, toward you, or outwards, toward the world. It also offers 6 recline positions, which can be adjusted using just one hand to raise and lower the seat. The seat’s footrest also moves in tandem with the backrest to create a super comfy and cozy napping space for your little one(s).
The second seat (i.e. the Rumble Seat) is suitable for kiddos from 3 months to 35 lbs, and offers all these same features. You will notice the difference in weight capacity of these two seats, 50 lbs vs. 35 lbs. Thus, it’s not an ideal stroller for older twins because the Rumble Seat will be outgrown much quicker than the main seat.
The Rumble Seat can be added and removed from the frame easily and quickly with the included adapters. The Rumble Seat also comes with a bumper bar, bug shield and a removable canopy with an extendable UPF 50+ sunshade.
Again, the main seat on the V2 has a higher seat back (20” up from 19” on the 2019 version) and a deeper footrest (2.5” up from 2” on the 2019 version). This will certainly prove helpful for bigger, taller kiddos, and will extend the usable life of this stroller for your oldest kiddo (a good thing, considering how expensive it is!).
If you have an older, 3rd child, you can also add the UPPAbaby Piggyback Ride-Along Board ($119).
Also new on the Vista V2 is the redesigned canopy on both the toddler and rumble seats. These newer canopies offer better sun coverage and airflow, baby! The seats now have three large panels to offer more shade, plus a zip-out feature on both the first and last panels, which gives way to mesh peek-a-boo windows — great for added ventilation and to keep an eye on your tot(s).
The upgraded storage basket on the Vista V2 is ah-mazing! The V2 basket has a sleeker design and also includes a storage pocket for those smaller items you don’t want getting lost in the bottom of the basket (phone, wallet, keys, snacks, etc.). It’s huge and wide, and very easy to access from both the front and back of the stroller.
Unfortunately, the already pricey Vista doesn’t come with a parent organizer, cupholder or snack tray for your kiddos — it’s a bummer those accessories aren’t included, but you can purchase them separately. However, the stroller does come with both a rain and insect shield.
The Vista V2 offers a leather-covered telescoping handlebar that adjusts for height, which is one reason why it’s super popular with taller parents (and parents of differing heights).
UPPAbaby did not change their flip-flop friendly foot-operated braking system on the V2. Simply tap the brake pedal once to engage it, and tap again to release it. Easy to do with summer shoes — or even barefoot!
The Vista has a super easy, one-step fold. The best part is that it can fold with the second seat on! You know I’m a big fan of that! Bonus: it stands on its own when folded for easy (and clean) storage.
Bottom Line — the UPPAbaby Vista V2 is an incredible convertible stroller for those who can afford it, much like it’s predecessor (the regular Vista). The build quality is top notch and the features are downright impressive: the telescoping handlebar, the HUGE storage basket, the badass bassinet, the easy (standing) fold, and the versatile rumble seat. If you’re looking for a luxury convertible stroller you can use for years to come with your growing family, you won’t be disappointed. It holds up nicely on the resale market as well.
