Greetings pregnant mamas –
After watching the runway shows from fashion week, and I am still on a high! Aside from Gigi Hadid removing a runway crasher from the Chanel show and Jennifer Lopez walking the Versace show in her sexy, iconic Grammy’s dress, we’ve got good news mamas. This fall/winter season, I recommend you show off that baby bump in a casual, cozy, but bold way. Key trends of the season, you ask? Neutrals, pops of colors and lots of layering!
Neutrals are all the rage this fall and perfect for our soon-to-be mamas, especially since you probably want to keep costs down on clothes that you know you won’t be wearing for that long. Just buy a few core pieces, and mix and match them together. You can also add some pops of color (more on that later) here and there, for a fun and easy way to bring your maternity look to life — risk free.
Pops of Color
Let us be clear: if you want to stay on trend this season, you will want… nay, need pops of color and prints in your wardrobe. I found some beautiful pinks, reds and greens that will brighten up your closet in even the darkest, gloomiest climates. If you tend to scare away from color, just buy one or two pieces and stock up on the neutrals to mix them in oh so seamlessly.
In the fashion world, layering is everything. And when you are pregnant, it’s not just critical (want to keep that bump of yours warm), it’s also so, so cute! Pair a denim with an oversized knit turtleneck and top it off with the perfect casual coat to complete the look. Layering not only keeps our mamas-to-be warm, but also makes you look cool and comfortable and… well, this year, very on trend!
Enjoy the cooler temps, ladies. Cheers!
